Sometimes, running a therapy practice
can feel so isolated can’t it?
We have a load of support on the therapy side of our practice, from our trainers and colleagues, but when it comes to the marketing, it’s so easy to feel totally alone with it all, isn’t it?
And so frustrating that just being an amazing therapist just isn’t enough to have a full practice all of the time, when there are some months that seem to go really well and others that completely dry up.
“being an amazing therapist just isn’t enough to have a full practice all of the time”
Who do you turn to?
Sure, there is a ton of advice out there.
There are webinars and videos and free e-books, all telling you the perfect strategy, the next fabulous ‘thing’ that is going to make all the difference, and so you end up yo-yoing from one to the other, never quite feeling that you have a clear plan – although it seems so close (or was that just me?).
Yes. I was there too. and I found myself flitting from one thing to the next, hoping one of them was going to work. After all, I was getting known to be an expert in my field – so where was my full practice?
The turning point for me was when I recognised that I needed help and that I was fed up of going it alone (It was quite a relief, I have to say).
At that point, I began to seek out coaches and mentors who had experience of heart centred marketing and sales, and I am very happy to say I found some amazing mentors. People who spent time to understand what I wanted to achieve, my biggest challenges and also held me accountable as they guided me through the marketing jungle!
Since then I have had the privilege of working with and learning from some of the best heart-centred marketing minds out there, and this is the thing that has made the biggest difference.
So, over the past few years I have been giving this back, by supporting many amazing and inspiring therapists. Therapists who have something really special inside that they want to get out into the world – that the world needs.
